In the morning, visit a local rescue center for injured, sick, and orphaned animals where they are given 24-hour care until they can be rehabilitated and released back into the rainforest.

You have the afternoon free to discover the area’s beautiful beaches, fringed with lush tropical vegetation and clear warm ocean. There are a variety of adventure activities, cultural tours, and gastronomic delights to enjoy, in addition to lively Caribbean music.

Today you can enjoy the beautiful beaches with multicolored sand (black, yellow, and gray) and spectacular coral reefs. There is also plenty of rainforest to explore.

Be sure to interact with the locals and learn a little about their customs and traditions – an unforgettable experience!

This morning you depart from the Caribbean to the mountains surrounding the Central Valley. Along the way, you will pass by agricultural plantations before ascending through the rainforest to your hotel on the slopes of the Poas Volcano.

Early in the morning, you will visit the Poas Volcano National Park. The volcano has one of the largest craters in the world and is located in the mountainous forests of the Central Volcanic Range, on the north side of the Central Valley. Afterward, you will go by private transfer or drive in your rental car to the Nicoya Gulf on the Pacific coast. Here, you will find some of the most isolated and beautiful beaches, like on Jesusita Island. You will leave your rental car in a secure parking area and go by private water taxi to the glamping hotel on the island.

During the day, enjoy the beach, sun, and sea. There are kayaks and stand-up paddleboards available, or take a walk around the island.

At dusk, you will leave for the bioluminescence tour, a spectacular show by Mother Nature. It will be a highlight of your trip!

You have the morning free to enjoy the island. At noon, you will leave for the port of Paquera, where your transport (or rental car) awaits to take you to your last beach destination.

Santa Teresa is a small beach town in the southern part of the Nicoya Peninsula that has grown into a cosmopolitan village and international vacation destination. Its fame comes from its beautiful white sand beaches, lush tropical forest, warm Pacific Ocean, and world-class surfing and yoga.

Today’s adventure hike along forest trails will take you to the Nicoya Peninsula’s three most beautiful waterfalls. The prize is being able to cool off with a refreshing swim in the pools. Definitely bring your camera to capture memorable moments.

In the afternoon, there will be a yoga class at the hotel where you can stimulate your senses by connecting with the outdoors while practicing your asanas.

Santa Teresa is ideal for nature lovers. It also offers nightlife with world-class gourmet restaurants and beach parties featuring international DJs mixing electronic music.

Your day is free to enjoy the beach, ocean, and plenty of relaxation. If you prefer, you can do one of the many optional activities available in the area, including a canopy zip-line tour or horseback riding.

Today you depart to the Juan Santamaria International Airport in San Jose. If you have a rental car, you will need to return it to the agency by the airport before your flight. Please note that you should be at the airport at least three hours before your flight departs.
