DAY 1
San Jose, Costa Rica – Arenal Volcano (3 hrs approx. – 135 KM)
Welcome to San Jose, Costa Rica!
Reception at the Juan Santamaria International Airport and transfer to Arenal; or, you will pick up your 4×4 rental car and drive to the Arenal Volcano in the Northern Plains region.
Majestic in its grand stature, the volcano is one of the country’s natural wonders. While the volcano is quiet these days and there are no lava eruptions, you can still see clouds of smoke or ash emanating from the top of the cinder cone. The Arenal Volcano region is an exquisite destination for its picturesque landscapes, natural hot springs, and Lake Arenal. Along your journey to the town of La Fortuna, at the base of the volcano, you will see agricultural plantations, large ornamental plant nurseries, and cattle farms.

DAY 2
Arenal Volcano
In the morning do yoga on your own on the yoga platform immersed in the forest that will make you live an amazing experience creating a perfect combination of harmony.
You will hike trails in the Arenal Volcano National Park through varying terrain of primary rainforest and old lava flows in the afternoon. There is a possibility to see wildlife, along with a great variety of vegetation in this area.

DAY 3
Arenal Volcano
In the morning, relax in the hotel facilities. If you prefer, continue with your interaction with nature while practicing yoga.
In the afternoon, discover the tropical forest’s incredible secrets during a hike through the Místico Arenal Hanging Bridges Park. You will see the forest from all angles – the tree canopy, intermediate space, and the forest floor. So, you will have an even better opportunity to see more species in this wildlife sanctuary.

DAY 4
Arenal Volcano – Nicoya Peninsula (5 hrs approx. – 244 KM)
Today, your trip continues to the Nicoya Peninsula, the country’s largest peninsula, located in the Puntarenas province.
Here you will find some of the most secluded and beautiful beaches, ideal for those looking to have some fun in the sun. The gastronomy on offer is broad and diverse, from Costa Rican to Italian, Mexican, Asian, Argentinean, and Middle Eastern cuisine. Santa Teresa is a mixture of many cultures in one place. The beaches surrounding Santa Teresa are also wonderful to visit, especially since they are beautiful and usually less crowded.

DAY 5
Santa Teresa
You will go on a guided hike in the Cabo Blanco Biological Reserve in the morning, where you will enjoy the tropical forest and its ecosystem. There is the possibility to see howler monkeys, white-faced capuchin monkeys, and a wide variety of birds and other animals. It is perfect for those who enjoy bird-watching and love nature. In the afternoon, you have a yoga class that will challenge you physically, besides being an opportunity to increase self-awareness, knowledge, and joy.

DAY 6
Santa Teresa
Today’s adventure hike along forest trails will take you to the Nicoya Peninsula’s three most beautiful waterfalls. The prize is being able to cool off with a refreshing swim in the pools. Definitely bring your camera to capture memorable moments. In the afternoon, there will be a yoga class at the hotel where you can stimulate your senses by connecting with the outdoors while practicing your asanas.

DAY 7
Santa Teresa
This morning, after your yoga class at the hotel, you have the day free to explore the beaches and enjoy the sun and sea.
Santa Teresa’s economy thrives primarily on tourism. There is a long, main street, between the forest and the beach, where you can find hotels and restaurants. Santa Teresa is popular with both tourists and residents for its spectacular landscapes and nature, and its relaxed, zen vibe. Nightlife is fun with beach parties featuring international DJs mixing electronic music.

DAY 8
San Jose (5 hrs approx. 173 KM)
Today you depart to the Juan Santamaria International Airport in San Jose. If you have a rental car, you will need to return it to the agency before your flight. Please note that you should be at the airport at least three hours before your flight departs.

Requirements for the rental car
- The driver must have a valid driver’s license from their country of origin. Foreign licenses are valid in Costa Rica for 90 days starting from the date of entry into the country
- Minimum age of the driver is 23 years
- The driver must present a valid passport
- The driver must present a credit card in their name (AMEX, VISA, MASTERCARD) that has an available balance of approximately $750.00 USD for the security deposit
