DAY 1
San Jose – Airport (20 minutes approx. – 16.9 KM)
Welcome to San José, Costa Rica.
We will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Once in the capital city, you can visit the theaters, museums, and beautiful parks or simply enjoy a cup of Costa Rican coffee while watching the daily life of the “Ticos”
This tour immerses you in the rich Costa Rican culture and history by experiencing the beautiful museums and historical sites of San José. It begins with an orientation and drive through the beautiful Sabana Park. Next, we will take a walking tour through the historic National Theater. Completed in 1897, the theater is a masterpiece in art and architecture. Afterwards we will visit one of the many unique museums of Costa Rica, central market, metropolitan cathedral.
We will continue heading to the University of Costa Rica, the Supreme Court and various sites of interest. A brief stop will be made in a beautiful art craft shopping store allowing you to browse through it before returning to your hotel and why not, buy some souvenirs for those who are expecting you back at home.
DAY 2
Arenal (3.5 hrs approx. – 116 KM)
Morning departure to La Fortuna, where awaits the impressive Arenal Volcano, one of the natural wonders of the country for its majesty. Today there aren´t lava eruptions, but you can still observe the smoke, and ash spewing out of the top of the volcano. The Arenal Volcano region is an exquisite destination for its attractive landscape, its hot springs, and Lake Arenal. During the transfer, you will see agricultural plantations, ornamental plants and cattle farms.
DAY 3
Arenal
A “must do” tour in Arenal for sure. The beautiful and impressive Arenal Volcano will amuse you from the beginning of the trip. We’ll walk through different scenarios with variable kinds of vegetation where we’ll have the chance to meet the local fauna. You will also stand at a viewpoint incredibly close to the volcano and step on ancient lava flows turned into stone.
The guide will do his best to give you catching and interesting information about the place, the hiding fauna among the trees and bushes, and of course about the Arenal Volcano. At the end of the hike, we´ll go to the Ecotermales Fortuna hot springs facility, so you can take a relaxing time in the pools and choose among the different temperatures, the one that makes you feel better
DAY 4
Arenal – Manuel Antonio (5 hrs approx. – 220 KM)
Morning departure to Manuel Antonio, a destination where you can find the Manuel Antonio National Park which is considered one of the natural jewels for its abundant diversity of wildlife. It is the smallest of Costa Rica’s national parks but also one of the most visited for its beautiful beaches. It has several hiking trails, viewpoints, and the chance to come across animals in their natural habitat. At several points in the park, the trails branch off and lead to four separate beaches: Espadilla Sur, Manuel Antonio, Escondida, and Playita.

DAY 8
Manuel Antonio – San José (3.5 hrs approx. – 167 KM)
Transfer to the capital of San José, one of the most cosmopolitan cities in Latin America. The city is located at a strategic point near the main tourist attractions such as historical buildings, museums, theaters, craft markets, beautiful parks, shopping malls, and offers a varied gastronomic offer.

Requirements for the rental car
- Valid driver’s license. The foreign license is valid in Costa Rica for 90 days from the date of entry to the country
- Minimum age of the driver is 23 years old
- The driver must have a valid driver’s license from the country of origin.
- The driver must present a valid passport
- The driver must present original credit card (AMEX, VISA, MASTER CARD) and available for the guarantee deposit ($500.00 approximately)
