DAY 1

San José – Arenal (3.5 hrs approx. – 116 KM)

Transfer to La Fortuna, where awaits the impressive Arenal Volcano, one of the natural wonders of the country for its majesty. Today there aren´t lava eruptions, but you can still observe the smoke, and ash spewing out of the top of the volcano.  The Arenal Volcano region is an exquisite destination for its attractive landscape, its hot springs, and Lake Arenal.  During the transfer, you will see agricultural plantations, ornamental plants and cattle farms.

DAY 2

Arenal

We are going to visit La Fortuna Waterfall; a view of the 70-meter-high waterfall and a 600 meters hike to the natural pool at the base. (Bring swim clothes, a towel, and special water shoes because of the rocky river bottom). Later on, drive to an organic production farm near La Fortuna for lunch.

At 3:00 p.m. tour continues to the Arenal National Park, in here the tour guide will talk about the natural and geological history of the volcano, cross a path of solid lava and enjoy an excellent view over the volcano and Lake Arenal.

DAY 3

Arenal – Manuel Antonio (5 hrs aprox. – 220 KM)

Morning departure to Manuel Antonio, a destination where you can find the Manuel Antonio National Park which is considered one of the natural jewels for its abundant diversity of wildlife. It is the smallest of Costa Rica’s national parks but also one of the most visited for its beautiful beaches. It has several hiking trails, viewpoints, and the chance to come across animals in their natural habitat.  At several points in the park, the trails branch off and lead to four separate beaches: Espadilla Sur, Manuel Antonio, Escondida, and Playita.

DAY 4

Manuel Antonio

¡Come enjoy this national treasure!                                                                .

The pace of this adventure is determined by the consensus of your group’s abilities and interests. Listen to the songs of the various birds as they glide above their group, curious in search of adventure. See how many different types of flora and fauna you can spot in a 2.5 hour hike.               .

If you feel like it, you can stop and enjoy fresh fruits and local refreshments while you pause to soak in the beautiful aesthetics. If you feel like it, you can take a side trip to enjoy pristine, uncrowded, untouched beaches after your guided educational adventure is complete.                                                                .
